SURABHI COTTON

We source our cotton from a small group of regenerative farmers, artisans, and craftsmen in Tamil Nadu, India, called Oshadi Collective. The farmers use traditional farming methods that increase biodiversity, soil health, and ecological resilience. They use native, long staple cotton seeds called Surabhi cotton.

The cotton is processed into fabric within 50km of the farm using small workshops and artisanal techniques.

BENEFITS OF SURABHI COTTON

+Breathable: Cotton’s natural structure allows air to move through the fabric easily

+Cooling: Circulates air easily to keep hot air away from the body and absorbs moisture to keep you cool

+Hypoallergenic: Cotton is naturally soft, comfortable, and not irritating to the skin

+Absorbs UV: unbleached or non-synthetically dyed cotton naturally absorbs the sun’s rays

HIGH ANDEAN WOOL

We source wool from the High Andes for our sweaters. Few sheep produce warmer wool than those in the Andes. Their fleece protects them as they roam valleys shadowed by Southern Argentina’s glacial peaks.

Sheep naturally come in shades of grey and brown. We chose undyed, naturally-colored wool, so we can offer color options without synthetic chemical dyes, preserving the wool’s natural benefits.

The wool is grown in the High Andes, spun in Arequipa, Peru, and handknit in Lima.

Benefits of High Andean Wool

+ Naturally Insulating: The wool comes from near the arctic where sheep are extremely efficient at keeping warm in the cold

+ Protection from the Elements: wicks and absorbs moisture to keep you dry, absorbs UV, and acts as wind barrier

+Odor Resistance: absorbs and neutralizes odor to keep you fresh and reduce the need for washing

+Breathability: circulates air and moisture to keep you comfortable in any conditions

AMERICAN WEST MERINO

Our superfine Merino wool is from a collective of regenerative ranches in the American West. The rare Merino variety they grow reflects the rugged mountains and vast meadows the sheep roam.

The wool is grown in Colorado, Oregon, California, and Nevada, spun in North Carolina, knit in Massachusetts, cut and sewn in Los Angeles, and naturally dyed in Montana.

Our wool baselayers are processed to preserve this unique raw material’s quality, natural properties, and many benefits.

BENEFITS OF MERINO

+Thermoregulation: responds to your body temperature and ambient conditions to keep you cool in the heat and warm in the cold

+Protection from the Elements: wicks and absorbs moisture to keep you dry and protects you from UV rays

+Odor-resistance: absorbs and neutralizes odor to keep you fresh and reduce the need for washing

+Breathability: circulates air and moisture to keep you comfortable in any conditions
